How long do the sessions take?
Depending on the type of session, they typically last about 1-1.5 hours. Large extended family sessions can be 2 hours+. Newborn sessions are about 2 - 2.5 hours.
Mini sessions are 10 minutes.
What should we do to prepare for a session?
Depending on the type of session, we will typically take photos for about 1 hour. Large family sessions can be up to 2 hours.
Please make sure young kids are well-rested and fed!
Bring snacks along (but not snacks that will stain their lips/tongues/fingers).
Make sure to bring wipes for your kids hands and faces - clean them when you arrive at the photo location.
If you worry about your child's outfit staying clean before the session, bring their photo clothes along and change them when you arrive.
Bring water and bug spray for outdoor spring/summer/fall sessions.
It's all good to use prizes (bribes!) to encourage your kids to cooperate. But if they don't behave perfectly - don't worry! It's the stage of life they are in and little kids can't be expected to pose perfectly. Candids are often best anyway!

What should we wear for family sessions?
Outfits can really make or break your photos!
The most important thing is to be comfortable and be yourselves. It is a good idea to coordinate outfits for the best look possible (don't match!).

When can I expect to see my gallery?
Usually within about 2-3 weeks you will receive a link to view your photo gallery. Wedding galleries are generally available in 5-6 weeks. (Timelines may vary based on time of year due to volume).
Do you provide prints and framing?
Yes, I certainly do provide prints and framing! Your gallery will have a STORE option and you can purchase prints and photo gifts right there! Credit cards accepted.
Framing is done on a custom basis. I meet with you and we determine what will look best on your wall(s). Lots of frames to choose from!

Do I have to order prints through you?
I use a professional print lab so you are guaranteed to get the best possible quality and colour in your prints. You have the option to purchase digital files that you can print up to 8"x10" elsewhere but you are not guaranteed true colours and quality.
High resolution digital files are also available to purchase - please inquire for pricing.
Do you offer mini sessions?
Yes I do. I offer seasonal mini sessions (i.e. Christmas, Easter, mom and me, etc).
I also offer IN THE BOX sessions which are great for any occasion and lots of fun!

How long will the pictures be available to download?
Your gallery will typically be available for 6 months. Then the link will be removed to make room for more sessions. You will receive an email notification prior to your gallery expiring.
However, I may keep your photos longer (not guaranteed). Please contact me if you need to re-download or want to have prints ordered.
When is payment due?
The session fee is due at the time of booking the session. Additional photo and print orders will be due prior to receiving the download access PIN or the prints.
I accept etransfer, cheques, cash or Stripe payments through my online ordering site.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes! I offer gift certificates in values of $100/$200/$400 toward a session, digital photo purchases or prints. You can purchase them through this website by going to the Gift Certificates page or go here: https://Thislittlelight.mypixieset.com/PurchaseGiftCertificate
